LandezArts is the umbrella organization that produces danceLAB, a new professional dance collective in Victoria, TX.
LandezArts believes in celebrating experimentation, justice, and technical dynamism through the tireless pursuit of intellectual and socially informed dance making. Our mission is to engage with developing art as a rigorous educational effort, to foster a diverse community of makers, performers, and spectators that believe in the transformative power of dance.
To establish a presence in Victoria, TX as a summer dance collective, danceLAB.
Incorporate and obtain status as a Texas 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
To foster a sense of artistic community among founding members, to serve as kindling for the development of a rich network of artists.
To demonstrate to captive audiences that dance may be both pleasurable to watch, while simultaneously attending to intellectual and social lines of inquiry.
To create an ethos for future artistic, development, and marketing campaigns.
An evening-length concert that sutures together diverse repertoire around a central theme.
