Soraya Cohen

Soraya Cohen was born and raised in Ames, IA. She is currently pursuing a BFA in dance at the University of Iowa, as well as a BA in International Studies and a minor in French. Throughout her studies, she has performed in works by Aaron Samuel Davis, Imani English, Martha Graham, Stephanie Miracle, Melinda Jean Myers, and Kieron Dwayne Sargeant. Although her main interests lie in performance and choreography, she also enjoys learning about dance production, having participated in internships at Hollins University MFA Dance program, and Bates Dance Festival. Outside of her training, she serves as a Video Production Assistant at the U.Iowa Office of Strategic Communication.
